Conference History

The ISAAC Biennial Conference highlights the accomplishments of ISAAC Chapters, members, professionals and people who use AAC throughout the world.

The conference is held every two years in a different location. ISAAC’s Council, Executive Board and various committees hold governance meetings at the time of the conference.

The conference features Pre-conference Workshops (2 days), AAC Camps (2 days),Main Conference (usually 4 days) and Research Symposium (2 days following the Main Conference). An Exhibition Hall showcases manufacturers of technology and AAC service providers.

Papers are selected for the scientific program through an international peer review process, from submitted abstracts. Paper proposals for the Main Conference can be submitted as full papers or posters.

Conference Proceedings are available to all participants. Proceedings from past conferences are available free to ISAAC members here.
