The study shows that there are no significant differences, for resilience, hope, courage, sense of effectiveness of the parents, between the group of parents of children with complex disabilities and the group of parents of children without disabilities. This is compliant with literature, that states that parents of children with disabilities may find a positive sense in the disability of their child and this can in its turn positively influence the styles of coping and of regulation. More, there are no differences linked to gender (father and mother). The only one real important factor is the emotional charge that is higher in the group of parents of children with disabilities. No differences were found between the group of parents who attended the support treatment and the group still waiting for it, apart from the factor of ‘support’ (i.e. received service and social support). This factor is related to the four themes that influence the wellness of parents: the possibility to receive health and social services needed, the economic barriers, the inclusion into schools and community and the family support. All this is linked to health and social policies.
