Integrating Language Development and Technology for Students with Multiple Disabilities

This presentation features methods for integrating language development and technology across content areas for students with multiple disabilities. Participants will learn the importance of providing students with individual language-based communication systems. Lessons with language-based content, presented in an accessible platform, provide students meaningful interaction with materials and vocabulary. This session will explore Boardmaker Speaking Dynamically Pro, PowerPoint, Classroom Suite, Smartboard, iPad (Story Creator, Educreations, etc.), Tap-It, and touchscreen computer/TV as tools to adapt content to meet individual student needs.
