This area comprises sending, receiving and interpreting information using a variety of systems and equipment, including alternative communication systems. Objective: To describe the characteristics of Easy Board, a free open source software for alternative communication users, which was developed in a collaborative work in the areas of Occupational Therapy and Computer Science of the Research Center of Assistive Technology in a Brazilian university. Presentation of the software: A quick and easy program that enables the development of communication boards and activities to be printed or used interactively in the computer. The tool can be accessed by mouse, keyboard, touchscreen, triggers, or peripheral eye tracker. The program uses an ARASAAC symbol library of public domain and allows the inclusion of images stored on the computer, as well as sounds, videos, internal and external links. It does not depend on the internet and generates projects with various boards that can be easily shared. The system also provides a library of activities designed by occupational therapists.
