I would be grateful if you would make a small further contribution to the dissemination of your research. I began, for the December 2006 issue, to ask authors of accepted manuscripts to write a very short commentary on their article for publication on the new web site (IE) version of the Bulletin. The idea is that you should attempt to convey something of the interest, importance, relevance, excitement etc. of the research you are reporting to an audience of people who use AAC, people who care for them, clinical practitioners etc. You may aim to say something about possible implications, about where the research is heading, how it challenges some view of AAC, or whatever. The commentary should be approximately 100 to 300 words – like an abstract, but more than a summary – an attempt to say something about your research that will be significant for an interested but non-research-oriented audience. Please be as innovative as you like regarding both content and style.
Please send your contribution to me as an attachment as quickly as possible
Many thanks, John.
