AAC - ISAAC's Professional Peer Reviewed Journal
AAC has been fortunate in attracting submissions from researchers from varied fields and with varied perspectives. Their expertise has assisted in driving new developments, determining the efficacy of treatments, setting standards for clinically relevant research, and raising issues for further research and discussions. Along with the other work of ISAAC, AAC both contributes to the growing awareness of the needs of people with complex communication needs throughout the world and provides strategies for addressing those needs. If you are a researcher, you should note that AAC has been accepted by Thomson ISI for coverage in the Social Sciences Citation Index and Current Contents / Social & Behavioral Sciences, beginning with Vol. 21(1) 2005. Its first Impact Factor* will be published in 2008. More about Thomson ISI View contents summary of past issues (on the publisher's website) Editor: Prof. Ann Sutton, Ph. D. * Impact Factor is widely recognised as the authoritative measure of journal quality. Librarians refer to it when making renewal and cancellation decisions – and are likely to do so with increasing regularity in future. Tenure and promotion committees assess an individual’s scholarship on the basis of the journals they have published in and what Impact Factor these have. Funding bodies look to citation levels when evaluating a bid team. And of course, researchers themselves consider Impact Factor when deciding which journals to submit quality papers to.
