How to Join / Change Address

Anybody interested in AAC can join ISAAC. Contact the ISAAC Chapter in your country

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION / CHANGE OF ADDRESS

ISAAC membership is open to all persons interested in augmentative and alternative communication.

Chapter membership includes membership in ISAAC. If you live in a country or region where there is an existing Chapter, contact your local Chapter to obtain a membership application form or contact the ISAAC Secretariat for more information.

ISAAC members who live in a country or region where there is not yet a Chapter, have a direct affiliation with ISAAC and receive member services directly from the international organization. If you live in a country or region where there is not an ISAAC Chapter and would like to join ISAAC, please complete the ISAAC membership application form or contact the Secretariat for an application form and membership rates.

The Benefits of Membership:

  • Full access to the Information Exchange a dynamic international resource for sharing knowledge, experiences and perspectives on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
  • An annual Membership Directory - the best reference available for people in the field of AAC.
  • Subscribe to ISAAC's official Journal AAC and ISAAC affiliated publications at a special members rate.
  • Purchase ISAAC products at preferred rates.
  • Register for ISAAC conferences, co-sponsored conferences and workshops at special reduced prices (at least 15% lower rate).

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES:

Corporate membership: Open to any agency commercial enterprise with an interest in AAC.

Additional benefits:

  • Recognition in ISAAC publications and at conferences.
  • A separate listing in the ISAAC Membership Directory, and highlighting of the listing in the main body of the Membership Directory.
  • A listing on the ISAAC web site and a link created to the member's site.
  • Reduced rates for advertising in: AAC, the quarterly peer-reviewed publication; the Membership Directory and on the ISAAC website.
  • Reduced fees for exhibiting at ISAAC's Biennial International Conferences
  • Preference as a program presenter at the conference
  • A "right of first refusal" on ISAAC initiatives which need external support, such as Web site advertising and sponsorship.

Emerging AAC Countries membership: Open to individuals interested in AAC and who live in countries identified by the United Nations as countries which receive foreign aid for development purposes. These comprise of the Least Developed Countries, the Landlocked Developing Countries, the Small Island Developing States and the newly industrialized countries

Institutional membership: open to non-profit groups such as schools, assistive technology centres, service delivery centres and academic programs in related fields.

Additional benefits:

  • Eligibility for reduced fees for 3 persons at the ISAAC Biennial Conference.
  • A separate listing in the ISAAC Membership Directory, and highlighting of the listing in the main body of the Membership Directory.
  • A listing on the ISAAC web site and a link to the member's site.
  • Preferred rate for subscribing to AAC and ISAAC affiliated publications (one (1) copy).
  • Reduced rates for advertising services in the Membership Directory.
  • Reduced fees for exhibiting at ISAAC's Biennial International Conferences.

People who use AAC or their family's membership: Open to individuals using AAC or their family member(s).

Additional benefits:

  • Eligibility to apply for ISAAC awards & scholarships

Professional membership: Open to any professional involved in the field of AAC.

Additional benefits:

  • Eligibility to apply for ISAAC awards.

Retired membership: Open to past ISAAC members who retire from their work or new people interested in AAC who are no longer working.

Additional benefits:

  • Subscription to the journal AAC at a special reduced rate.

Student membership: Open to any full time registered student. University / Institution registration confirmation must be submitted with ISAAC membership form.

Additional benefits:

  • Subscribe to ISAAC Official Journal (AAC) at a special student rate
